Last week we had the pleasure of hosting our first Artist residency at Teesdale School as part of The ID Project, a Northern Heartlands led arts project that supports young people to explore their curiosity, identity, and their sense of place and belonging in the world.
Our young artists took part in creative sessions with artist Lizzie Lovejoy and explored Elaine Vizor’s Camera Obscura, to see the world from new perspectives. The project has been funded by Durham County Council’s Big Arts Project, which seeks to use the power of arts and culture to inspire local creativity and improve people’s mental health, wellbeing and resilience.
A huge thanks go to Northern Heartlands, artists Lizzie Lovejoy and Elaine Vizor, filmmaker Ollie Smith, Durham County Council and the Teesdale Area Action Partnership for helping to make the project happen!
