Nicola Falconer

Nicky joined the North East Learning Trust in January 2017 as Director of Teaching School at Shotton Hall Academy where she oversaw the running of the SCITT and contributed to the Research School. She was appointed as Head of School at Easington Academy in September 2020. In addition to this role, she supports the development of teaching and learning across the Trust and is currently working as part of a team to develop Early Career Framework materials for national use.

Nicky has a BA (Hons) in modern languages (French, Spanish and Catalan). She completed her PGCE at Newcastle University and has the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). Nicky has extensive senior and middle leadership experience with a proven track record for raising standards. She is passionate about raising the aspirations of all students and ensuring teachers are supported in delivering the highest quality of education to enable every child to realise their full potential.
