Yesterday Team Teesdale led our school to its second victory at the NELT Debate Competition. Bella, Owen and Alex did a fantastic job representing our school at the competition and came home with the trophy for Best Overall Team.
All secondary schools from NELT came together to argue their standpoint on a range of interesting topics. Our trio debated the question 'Is graffiti as valuable as classic art?' and fiercely questioned Ashington's team on the topic of 'Should we supplement our diets with insects to lower pollution?'.
The judges from NELT Head Office were wowed by how strong each member of Team Teesdale was and awarded them the winning title, meaning Teesdale School will host 2025's competition. A huge congratulations to everyone involved!
