Our Year 8 students were treated to a fantastic performance by Heavy Beat Brass Band, the UK's most authentic New Orleans style brass band this week as part of the festival. The band entertained our students for an hour in the main hall, playing well known tunes including Oh When The Saints and Move Your Feet.
Students loved the atmosphere and enjoyed dancing along, some students even had the opportunity to direct the band! A huge thank you to The Forge, Teesdale Area Action Partnership and The Witham for arranging and funding this experience, and to Heavy Beat Brass Band for entertaining and inspiring.
